I'm John Quirk, a North American artist, filmmaker, and teacher currently living in Berlin. My work plays with humor, texture, nonsense, multimedia, and banality. 
I studied at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design from 2012 - 2016, and recieved a master's degree in animation at the Estonian Academy of the Arts under the tutelage of Priit & Olga Pärn in 2022.
I've been teaching technical approaches to 2-D, stop-motion & multimedia animation as well as narrative development and creative practice for nearly 14 years, between MassArt & EKA, Harvard University, Lesley University, and more. Between workshops and classes, I'm a freelancer, and in my personal practice, I'm currently developing a short film about epilepsy experiences, and a game about a little fellow who is seeking to find the warmest blanket in the world.
